In 2010, Jason and his family suffered the tragic loss of his cousin to heart disease. Tiffany Carroll was a seemingly healthy and active young adult and a fellow athlete. At just 25 years old, she lost her life to a disease known as Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM). HCM is most commonly known as a leading cause of sudden cardiac death in young athletes. This harsh reality inspired Jason to form The Jason Thompson Foundation so that he could honor Tiffany’s memory by raising awareness about heart disease in athletes, children and young adults.

The Jason Thompson Foundation is a 501 (C) (3) organization dedicated to creating healthy lifestyles for children and young adults by providing the resources and social support needed to live each day as active, heart-healthy individuals. To L.I.V.E. (Learn.Imagine.Voice.Educate.) by example and bring awareness to heart disease.

The Jason Thompson Foundation believes that small actions can add up to big changes. It is our responsibility to create these changes by providing accessible resources to those who need it most. With the aid and support of the community and like-minded donors we can continue to make a difference and change lives.
